LET’S SUPPORT AND ELEVATE EDUCATION IN THE DISTRICT – DIRECTOR

Mr. Frank Duah Boateng, the District Director of the Education Directorate in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly has called on philanthropists to support and elevate the Education system in the District.

According to him, the Assembly’s strength is not enough to raise the standard of education in the District, it requires all hands on desk.

Mr Boateng, was of the view that, though is mandatory of the Assembly to oversee and regulate development, it also welcome stakeholders who are willing to support in areas needed towards development especially in education. He believed partnership should not be a deficiency to the Atwima Nwabiagya North District, Barekese.

He made this call on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the forecourt of the Education Directorate during a disbursement of 120 mattresses, pillows and other valuable items to selected students in 30 communities of the District by Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei Assibey.

According to him, the beneficiaries of the mattresses were made based on guidelines and hoped it continues. The Education Director tasked the students to make the District and the education sector proud for others to emulate.

In attendance were the Presiding member (PM) for the Assembly, and Assembly man for Achiase Electoral Area, Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, District Assembly Representative, Nana Efua Fynnba Mensah, District Information Officer, Mr Augustine Agyei, Assembly members, Dr. Lawyer Dickson Osei Assibey a Senior Lecturer at KNUST, and also a Council Chairman of Wa Technical University, Parents, teachers, onlookers, students, and all who matters graced the event.

The District Education Director (DED), cautioned the students to make their studies a key factor in their days at school and aspire for greater things in life.

Parents who spoke to this report expressed unqualified gratitude to the philanthropist and the Education Directorate and District entirely for a relief of some key prospectors in their ward’s education in the Senior High School. They assured of making good use of the item.
