MAKE MAINTENANCE A HABIT, ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DCE ADVISES LEADERS

The District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah has advised Ghanaians particularly those in leadership to make maintenance a habit in order to prolong the life span of equipment and properties under their care.

According to her, frequent maintenance  also saves cost, and increase efficiency.
The DCE made the statement when she was handing over about 300 mono desks procured by the District Assembly for Barekese SHS and Osei Tutu SHS, last Friday. With her, were Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, District Coordinating Director, Mr Daniel Donyinah, District Engineer, Mr Zackaria Antwi, District Procurement Officer and Mr Thomas Awuah Asem, District Information Officer.

JUDICIAL SERVICE KEY TO SOCIO – ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; DCE for Atwima Nwabiagya North.

The District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah is canvassing for maximum support for Judicial Service since it plays key role in socio- economic growth of the Country.
She said it was absolute truth that justice played a big role in the development of every nation, and that support for operation of the Judicial Service was paramount.
The DCE made the statement when addressing a gathering at the commissioning of modern court complex at Akropong in the District.
According to her, it was true that justice played a big role in development of every nation, and provision of the facility would serve its intended purpose as those who seek justice would have it.
Apart from constructing a fit – to- use court building for the Akropong District Court, the District Assembly had also taken care of residential accommodation for resident judge.
The court was commissioned by the the Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Akwasi Anin Yeboah. He thanked the District Authorities and the chiefs for their continous support for the Judicial Service.
The Ashanti Region Minister, Hon Simon Osei Mensah appealed to the Judicial Service to make good use of the facility and advised them maintain it.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio reiterated the government’s effort to upholding rule of law, and supporting the administration of justice in the country.
Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, District Coordinating Director, Mr Richard Apietu, Deputy Judicial Secretary of Middlebelt and Northern Sector, host of prominent chiefs in the District, staff the District Assembly and staff of Judiciary Service were in attendance.

Atwima media practitioners association congratulates the new chief justice of Ghana.

We wish to congratulate His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah who is an illustrious son of Atwima in the Ashanti Region on his appointment as the 14th Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana.

 

As an astute Lawyer, His Lordship Justice Yeboah has served with dignity and integrity through the ranks of the Judiciary Service , and we as Association of Media Practitioners in the Atwima Enclave without bias, were in firm conviction he will one day assume the highest rank in the Judicial Service of Ghana, and one of the higher office of the Nation (Ghana).

His nomination by the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was a step in the right direction, and we applaud the President for the confidence reposed in him and all other constitutional bodies who participated in this just and rightful process of selecting the Chief Justice of Ghana.

 

We are of no doubt His Lordship Justice Yeboah will bring his rich experience and expertise to bare in his new office and help to raise high the standard of Judiciary Service and make his proposers proud.

 

Once again, we congratulate you on your assumption as the 14th Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana. We ask the Almighty God to see you through in your term of office.

Atwima Nwabiagya North District Swears-in second Assembly

Atwima Nwabiagya North District has sworn 24 Assembly members including Senior Apostle John Owusu Achiaw, Worldwide Leader of The True Faith Church(Worldwide) and Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV, Amakye-Bare Hene. His Worship Rockson Kpodo administering the Oath of office, secrecy and allegiance, charged assembly members to serve diligently to ensure rapid development of the district.

Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng on behalf of the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said the the President attached great importance to the work of Assembly members and trust that they will bring their experience and expertise to bear on the work of the Assembly.
On her part, the DCE for the area, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah in her welcome address at colourful durbar of chiefs, queen mothers, clergy, Imams and the people, told assembly members that their election and appointment was a mark of confidence the people have in them.
She appealed to assembly members and all stakeholders to rally behind her to build the “Ghana Beyond Aid Agenda ” in the district.
“You will agree with me that this inauguration alone would not result in the change that our people are looking for. It is only a chance for us to collectively make a change in our development efforts “, the DCE stated.
Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, the Assembly member for Achiase -Nketia -Amoaman electoral area was elected as the Presiding Member for the Assembly. The former PM polled 24 voted out of 25.
Also in attendance was the DCD, Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, Heads of Departments and staff of the Assembly.

Akropong district court to be upgraded

The Akropong District Court will be upgraded to Circuit Court status in no distant future, the Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Akwasi Anin Yeboah has announced.

This announcement was made at the commissioning of fully furnished modern court complex at Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly ( ANNDA ) ,on Friday May 29, 2020 .

Announcement of decision by Chief Justice to upgrade the old court which had been given a face lift was greeted with rapturous cheers and applause by the gathering at commissioning event.

He was full of praise for assembly for the facility, furniture and other equipment provided to make the staff work effectively.

The Chief Justice was joined by Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio, MP, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, DCE, Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, District Coordinating Director, chiefs, staff of the District Assembly and staff of the Judicial Service to commission the court building.

The District Court is the only court in District, and the Chief Justice has promised to renovate the old structure for use while considering to build another new court at Barekese, the District capital in no distant future to enhance delivery of justice.

 

He said his attention had been drawn to the fact that, the Judicial Service has inadequate court rooms, and he was working to improve the current situation.

Currently there are three courts in the Atwima Enclave namely Nkawie Circuit Court ,Akropong District Court  and Nhyinahin District Court. And upgrading of Akropong court will bring the number of Circuit Courts to two within the vicinity.
